Nous avons rencontre des chefs d'entreprises de Todmorden qui nous ont presente leurs activites.
Nous avons assiste a une tres belle comedie musicale sur la vie d'Oliver Twist.
În dimineața de joi ne-am început activitățiile înpărțindu-ne în grupuri, unii dintre noi mergând la anumite întreprinderi, iar alții luând interviuri locuitorilor din Todmorden. După ce am luat prânzul la un bistro numit ,,Kava", am mers să vedem o piesă de teatru numită ,,Oliver!", piesă scrisă după faimosul roman ,,Oliver Twist". Întorcându-ne la pensiune, am jucat multe jocuri de societate împreună cu francezii și englezii, îmbunatățind relațiile dintre noi.

Cette entreprise organise des activités pour les enfants. Au départ le lieu etait un château et devait etre la demeure d’un couple. La femme n’aimait pas le lieu. Le
chateau fut alors transformé en école pendant la seconde guerre mondiale. Des rumeurs courent comme quoi le château serait hanté.
Aujourd'hui, le lieu accueil de nombreux visiteurs pour pratiquer des activités comme l'escalade, le kayak, l'accrobranche...
Suite à la visite nous avons posé quelques questions à Jill sur le Brexit.
Robinwood is an activity centre housed in the grounds of a castle which used to be owned by the famous Victorian Todmorden business man John Fielden. The main visitors to the business are English schools who send parties of children to take part in outdoor activities such as canoeing, climbing and zip-wire. The company has several centres in the area, using existing buildings and attractions of the landscape. We were shown round the centre by the people who work there with the children.
Cea de-a patra zi a fost una dedicată vizitării unor întreprinderi, pentru a afla modul în care Brexitul afectează unele companii locale. Am avut ocazia să vizităm un castel impresionant - “Robin Wood”, cu o istorie mai aparte. De asemenea, proprietarul a fost foarte prietenos și a răspuns cu plăcere întrebărilor noastre. Acesta ne-a mărturisit faptul ca Brexitul nu va avea un impact major asupra companiei sale, deoarece toate echipamentele lor sunt fabricate în Regatul Unit și datorită faptului că majoritatea proiectelor sale sunt în parteneriat cu școlile naționale. Proprietarul vede viitorul companiei ca fiind unul strălucit, deoarece el tocmai a intrat in posesia celui de-al patrulea centru de acest gen.

Nous avons eu le plaisir de visiter une entreprise qui réalise des maisons en matériaux écologiques comme des bottes de pailles et des crépis écologiques.
În cea de-a patra zi, ne-au fost pregătite vizite la întreprinderile din zona, pentru a cunoaște lucruri despre ele și pentru a afla cum isi desfășoară activitățile dar si pentru a cunoaște părerea proprietarilor despre cum Brexitul le poate sau nu afecta companiile.
Am avut ocazia de a cunoaște o fermă în care se cresc porci, dar si un laborator component în care se pregătesc diferite preparate din carne și numeroase sosuri.
Am fost primiți cu căldură si am aflat cateva lucruri despre procesele care au loc in acel loc. A urmat ca noi, să îi cerem acordul proprietarei, de a-i pune o serie de întrebări, legate de viitorul companiei sale.
Aceasta ne-a spus că, Brexitul nu-i va afecta compania, din contră o va ajuta să își extindă teritoriul de vânzare în mai multe locuri din Regatul Unit al Marii Britanii. De asemenea ea nu și-ar dori să se întoarcă in Uniunea Europeană, deoarece este mai avantajată de Brexit.
Porcus is a small farm-based company in the hills above Todmorden. They rear rare-breed pigs for meat and make sausages and charcuterie. The meat they produce is very much better than that supermarkets because it is produced more slowly. The pigs take 8-12 months to mature, rather than the more usual 4 months. This is a more expensive process, but they can command a premium price because of the quality. Porcus has won European awards for their products.
Porcus believes that Brexit will release them from a heavy and expensive burden of bureaucracy and allow the company greater freedom to trade. They will always maintain the high standards which will allow them to trade with Europe.
Townley-Harmsworth

Création de l'entreprise en 1945 après la seconde guerre mondiale (depuis 70ans).
Le père de la directrice actuelle a inventé la "pince à rivets". L'entreprise travaille à l'international (Australie, Roumanie, France, Burkina Faso...).
L'activité de cette entreprise recouvre trois domaines :
- la fabrication de composants électroniques pour l'industrie qui est principalement destinée au marché anglais.
- les énergies renouvelables
- les panneaux solaires
Les responsables de cette entreprise attachent beaucoup d'importance à la communication des savoirs faire de l'entreprise. Une salariée a été recrutée récemment pour cette mission.
The company was created in 1945 by the father of the current Director, Clare Townley, based on a device for riveting. At present it works in three fields:
electronic and electrical components which they buy and sell across the world; renewable energy, for example solar panels and a wonderful range of 'ecological gizmos' -toys powered by natural energy, and science kits of various sorts.
The company has links with Australia, Romania and France. The directors say that Brexit is having a big effect on their enterprise. The most important aspect is prices related to the value of the pound. The weak pound should help sales but buying components has become much more expensive, and this will be exacerbated with higher tariffs after Britain leaves the EU. For the company Brexit is a disaster. The countries of Europe have different cultures and lifestyles but the company wishes to keep their relationships with other countries for as long as possible. Brexit has damaged this. However, they are a small company and don't feel the full force of Brexit. They think that for larger companies Brexit will be a big problem.
Au fost prezentate 3 domenii: energii reinnoite, construirea de energie solara si componente electronice. Toate sunt folosite in industria electronica. Intreprinderea e foarte bine extinsa in lume in Australia, Burkina Faso, Franta si chiar si Romania. Scopul intreprinderii este cel de a transforma curentul alternativ in curent continuu. Tatal proprietarei a lucrat in armata Angliei si a avut o inventie geniala, care a fost furata mai tarziu de chinezi
Pextenement Cheese Company

Le 26 octobre, nous avons visité l'entreprise de Carl Warburton qui produit du fromage. Les fromages sont produits dans un bâtiment construit en 1600. Ils sont
totalement organiques (naturels). Ils ne contiennent aucun produit chimique. Pour avoir un bon fromage, il faut le garder environ 1 an.
Seulement 3% du lait produit par les 70 vaches est utilisé pour le fromage. Le lait est donc vendu au supermarché. Il nous été indiqué que le prince Charles a
visité l'entreprise.
PEXTenement este o companie situată în Todmordem ce produce o serie de brânzeturi bio cunoscute internațional. Numele companiei denumește ,,porcul"-,,PEX" si numele celor 10 familii care au deținut pământurile ,,tenement". Doar 3% din totalul laptelui este destinat producerii brânzei, (super)apreciată datorită lipsei chimicalelor. Toate rețetele sunt alese din cărți precum ,,Guide de fromage" pentru obținerea produsului de înaltă calitate destinată consumatorului. Premiile obținute de-alungul timpului ,,British Cheese Awards"-silver medal și ,,Local producer of the year" demonstrează profesionalismul producătorului. Merită să menționăm și faptul că această companie a fost vizitată de înșiși prințul Charles și prințesa Ana.
For our local business we visited am organic milk and chesse farm. The propriator was an IT worker
who was disalussioned with his job. He decided to start organic milk producing. The cows he keeps
are feed organic food e.g. hops and barley form the local organic brewery. They produce 7000 litres
of milk of which 3% is used in the production of cheese and the rest goes to supermarkets in the UK
and China.
One of his brands of cheese takes only 2 days whereas another takes just over a year to mature. The
owner has been visited by members of the royal family and has received numerous awards for his
endoverous. It is only a small organisation consisting of 5 cheese makers. He does not think Brexit
will affect his business in the near future.

soiree theatre :
Dans la soirée du 26 nous sommes allés au théâtre pour regarder une comédie musicale composée des habitants de Todmorden. La pièce de théâtre avait pour sujet la vie d’Oliver Twist. Oliver Twist est un enfant orphelin, maltraité par la famille où il est placé qui est une entreprise funéraire. Oliver endure tout, jusqu’au jour où une grande dispute éclate et le pousse à s’enfuir vers Londres. Il est par la suite recueilli par une bande de jeunes voleurs qui travaillent pour le vieux Fagin. Oliver va découvrir un monde cruel où seules la ruse et la force comptent. Un jour, il est arrêté pour une tentative de vol qu’il n’a pas commis. Il ne trahit pas sa bande et s’attire la gentillesse d’un brave home.
We went to the youth theatre with everybody on Thursday night to watch the show Oliver.The show was around 2 hours long and it was amazing it was full of our friends from todmorden and they did an amazing job they put all their effort into it.when it was half time we all went out and got some sweet to then finish the show off.The show eventually ended and we all made our way back to the hostel.
Ajunsi la teatru, ne-am delectat cu piesa "Oliver", interpretata de tinerii actori ai orasului Todmorden. Povestea a fost una impresionanta, ilustrand viata micutului orfan Oliver, care a emotionat intreg publicul. Avand in vedere ca a fost o piesa jucata de copii, am putut empatiza cu ei, acestia descurcandu-se de-a dreptul impecabil.
